The Dr has told me there is nothing they can do and it’s just wear and tear, can you help?

The short answer is… YES! We hear this all the time. And even with the most arthritic problems such as osteoarthritis of the knee, we’ve had outstanding success with reducing pain and getting clients back doing all the hobbies they want to be doing following the best practices in treatment and advice.

I’ve had back pain for years that keeps coming back. I’ve been for treatment before too which eases it but never takes it away fully. Is this going to be like this forever?

Lower back pain probably makes up 70-80% of what we see every day in clinic. Here at The Solution Injury Clinic, we don’t look to treat just the symptoms of the problem, but to look to identify the root cause of the problem as well. Especially with lower back pain, a thorough biomechanical assessment can help to identify not just where the pain is coming from, but the REAL REASON it has started to begin with. This gives us the best chance of finding that Solution and getting you back doing what you love sooner, without fear of the problem coming back.

Do I have to have an injury to come in for a session or treatment?

No. A lot of our clients like to keep on top of their health with regular sports massage or maintenance treatment. We always think of it like servicing a car, and just like a car our bodies need an MOT every now and then as well too.

I’m in pain, should I use ice or heat?

This can sometimes be specific to the individual and what works best for them. But we would always advise if there is PAIN, ALWAYS USE ICE. Ice is a natural pain reliever and soothes the area. It temporarily decreases blood flow to the area which can significantly reduce inflammation swelling. You can use an ice pack (wrapped in a towel) for 15 minutes on the area, with a 45-minute gap after use to let the skin rest. You can then repeat this process if needed.

When you are dealing with a problem which is more STIFFNESS and TENSION, but MINIMAL PAIN, we would recommend HEAT
